Overview of Grafer for Windows, v5.0 [ASP/ESC] --
Grafer is designed to quickly produce a Line graph or Scatter plot to include in reports. Although the graphs are of adequate quality for publication, a need exists for quickly producing graphs to view developing data either for intermediate reporting or review by other people. This can be accomplished in Grafer with speed and ease.
Grafer makes a very close look-a-like to the graph specified by American National Standard, ANSI Y15.1M, which has been used for many years in the scientific fields. Scientists and engineers will find this type of graph familiar and readily acceptable in their fields.
X-Y data can be placed in Grafer from a standard text file, the clipboard, or entered using the keyboard. Once the data is in Grafer a graph will be constructed automatically using the default Grafer parameters. The data is sorted by X value before plotting to assure a proper line graph is constructed. The new graph can be labeled by changing the graph options in a dialog box.
When the graph has achieved the desired look, it can be saved in a text file that can be edited with Grafer, Notepad, or any other suitable text editor. The edited Grafer file can be reopened in Grafer to create a new graph. Using a printer with graphics capability, you can print copies to the size needed.
The completed graph can also be loaded on the clipboard and placed in a document as a Picture (Enhanced Metafile). Once in the document, the graph can be adjusted to size (within limits) to fit the intended structure of the document. This will produce a much higher quality graph than a bitmap.
Grafer 5.0 was released by Lovell\'s on Tuesday 09 April 2002. Its known requirements are : Win95.
Grafer will run on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows NT and Windows XP.
